The Sherman Firefly is a formidable tank destroyer created by mounting the OQF 17-pounder, the British Army's most powerful anti-tank gun, onto the American M4 Sherman medium tank chassis. Nicknamed the "Heavy Tank Sniper," its exceptional range and high damage output allow it to easily overwhelm German armor in long-range engagements.

However, due to the sheer size and weight of the 17-pounder shells, it suffers from a slow reload time. Furthermore, its accuracy drops significantly by 50% when firing on the move, making stationary fire highly recommended. The added weight of the massive gun also results in a poor power-to-weight ratio; in practice, the Firefly feels noticeably more sluggish in speed and maneuverability compared to the standard M4 Sherman. Its slow turret traverse also puts it at a severe disadvantage when encountering agile German tanks at close range.

Therefore, rather than leading a breakthrough on the front lines, the Firefly is best utilized from the rear to intercept and halt German armored advances. Additionally, British infantry gain 25% shared experience from the veterancy earned by the Sherman Firefly.

If an allied vehicle is in close proximity to the German (enemy) vehicle—such as during Ramming or "Hugging"—the allied vehicle may sustain 50% collateral damage from the Tulip Rocket impact.
